Is Carb Cycling for you?


Yes, I’ve tried the low carb and close to no carb diets! Let’s face it, can you lose weight on it? Sure! Are you able to maintain it? No! This is why carb cycling might be an option for you!

Carb cycling alternates between low carb and high carb days. Usually on high intensity workout days, high carbs are in order. Try 2 days of high carbs and 3 days of low carbs. Create a schedule that works for you! On high carb days stick to complex carbs like green vegetables, whole grains, oatmeal, sweet potatoes, etc. Make sure you are lifting heavy and putting in work so those carbs can be used for good and not evil! :)

On low carb days stick to good ol’ protein like fish, chicken, and eggs. Also, consider cardio based workouts on these days, maybe some high intensity intervals as well! Low carb days are all about burning fat!
