We live in a society that thrives on being busy and being “on the go!” Along with this mentality comes an unrelenting need for more energy. But where do we find that energy?
Well, let’s see… there are the countless energy drinks near the checkout stand at your local grocery store. There’s no lack of energy bars, gels, potions, pills, (insert whatever), promising to give you fresh vitality and zest. And how can I forget coffee?
While these items may provide a quick fix, exercising regularly will provide ongoing levels of increased and sustaining energy.
Researchers of the University of Georgia found that sedentary people who normally complain of fatigue, can increase their energy levels by 20% and decrease fatigue by 65% by exercising regularly.
So when you are feeling sluggish, tired, or fatigued, go and workout! I know it sounds counterintuitive for something that takes energy to give you energy — but trust me, it works!
Find something you enjoy, whether it’s a walk around the park, dancing, or lifting heavy weights at the gym. Stick with it and reap all the benefits!
And don’t forget to flex!
